Advocating for Historically Resilient Gifted Students of Color
Wednesday, November 3
6:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m.

Given both the historical and current realities of racial bias, national statistics show that Black and Brown students are underrepresented in gifted programs and schools. Black and Brown children with unique needs and boundless potential are often not identified as gifted, or if they are, are not given the support they need to fully nurture their talents.

Please join us for a discussion focused on exploring the importance of advocating for gifted students of color, and the impact of providing the rigor and support they deserve. Our panel of experts will answer participants' questions and offer actionable insights for families and teachers as they advocate for gifted students of color and connect them with the resources they need to thrive.

One great way to get a feel for Mirman is to join us for a virtual school tour. On these tours, you will spend about an hour seeing what our classrooms and students are like, hearing from a current Mirman parent, and asking any questions you have about our school.
