It was a homecoming of a sort for actor Masi Oka '80-'88, who came back to his alma mater — Mirman School — to speak to Upper Schoolers in a special assembly.
It was a full house in the Jacquelyn Michelle Ross Auditorium this morning as both Third Grade classes presented culminating projects on ancient Egypt.
For two weeks, Mirman partnered with USC and its Neighborhood Academic Initiative to create Project Discovery, a multidisciplinary lecture/project hybrid style course for 25 middle-schoolers.
Now in its fourth year, MirmanX has seen substantial growth since its inception, with Upper Schoolers working with funding to take ownership of their moonshot ideas and bring those dreams not just to life, but to market.
