At Mirman School, we believe in nurturing exceptional potential — not just in our students, but in our vision for the future. Planned philanthropic gifts play a vital role in ensuring that the school remains a place where highly gifted learners thrive for generations to come.
The Mirman School Legacy Society recognizes those who make a lasting commitment to the school by including Mirman School in their estate plans or by making a significant financial contribution to one of our endowments. These visionary supporters bolster our mission and sustain our capacity to ensure that Mirman School continues to inspire imagination, discovery, and a lifelong love of learning.

Giving Options for Legacy-Minded Donors
If you are considering making a meaningful impact at Mirman School, there are a number of charitable giving options that may be right for you — especially if you are approaching retirement or are retired.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from Your IRA
If you are 70 years 6 months or older, you can make a tax-free donation directly from your IRA to Mirman School through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). These gifts can:
Count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
Reduce your taxable income — even if you do not itemize deductions
Provide immediate support to Mirman School without affecting your cash flow
To make a QCD, simply instruct your IRA custodian to direct the gift to Mirman School. We are happy to assist with sample language or speak directly with your legal or financial advisor to make the process as easy as possible for you.
Avoid capital gains taxes and maximize your charitable deduction.
If you have any questions or need assistance, we’re happy to help. If you’ve already made — or plan to make — your commitment, please send written confirmation of your designation to Noah Kaufman, Director of Advancement, at nkaufman@mirman.org or (310) 775-8428.
