US4 Students Lead Peace and Social Justice Day

We celebrated Peace and Social Justice Day on campus this beautiful Wednesday! Our US4 Student Diversity Leaders have been planning all month for the big day. This morning, they led the school-wide assembly, and both Upper and Lower School students spent the day immersed in various thoughtful activities and workshops focused around the important concepts of Peace and Social Justice.
The workshops and discussions were hosted by students from the US4 class, along with a teacher mentor for support. A few of the age-appropriate topics included how to agree and disagree when it comes to politics, exploring what it means to be differently abled, looking at gender biases in our culture, and a variety of human rights-centered discussions.
Thank you to US4 students Eva W., Oscar M., Elena S., Farid A., Elle N., Jonah S., Sabina Y., Ian R., and Finn W. for facilitating these workshops.

We are very proud of our students and community for addressing societal issues of magnitude and depth with the respect and empathy they deserve.

And a special thank you to Chris P. (US4) for closing out the day with a tribute to Prince, as he performed "Purple Rain" for the entire school.
