Raised to the power of Mirman

2026-31 Strategic Plan

Our Vision: Mirman will be the leading model for highly gifted education — where exceptional learners are challenged, known, and inspired to think deeply, act with purpose, and shape a complex world.

Championing highly gifted students

A Mirman education is unmistakably different. It is intentionally designed for highly gifted learners — deeply differentiated, intellectually ambitious, and responsive to the full complexity of each child.

Championing highly gifted students is essential to Mirman’s core identity as a school; it was founded out of deep love and an imperative to meet the unique needs of highly gifted students. At this point in Mirman’s history, we envision building on our current foundation to advance a school where highly gifted students are not only known for the depth of their thinking, but for the strength of their character and the impact of their contributions. In this future, classrooms are alive with inquiry — students are not simply mastering content, but asking complex questions, connecting ideas across disciplines, and applying their learning to real-world challenges that matter.
The future of Mirman lies in extending learning beyond the classroom and across disciplines. Students will design solutions, test ideas, engage in meaningful dialogue, and develop the confidence to express their perspectives while listening to others. They will learn to navigate a rapidly changing, AI-driven world with both sophistication and discernment — understanding not only how to use powerful tools, but when and why. In the Mirman of the next five years, students will not only grow as exceptional thinkers, but as deeply grounded individuals. They will cultivate self-awareness, empathy, and resilience, developing a nuanced understanding of themselves and a genuine regard for others. They will act with integrity and clarity of purpose, guided by strong internal values. They will see their abilities not simply as gifts, but as responsibilities — tools to engage thoughtfully with complex challenges, contribute meaningfully to their communities, and shape a more just and dynamic world. This vision will be brought to life by exceptional educators who are deeply supported in their craft, professionals who understand the nuances of gifted learners and are continually growing alongside them. It will be sustained by a community that believes excellence and inclusion are inseparable, and that the most powerful learning happens when students feel both challenged and known.
In this future, Mirman will not only be a school — it will be a leader. It will be a place that defines what highly gifted education can be at its best and a model for how to cultivate exceptional thinkers who lead with purpose, empathy, and impact.

Our strategy is designed to make this vision a reality.
This Strategic Plan represents the diligent work of a dedicated team of educators, administrators, Trustees, parents, alumni parents, and students.
